Are you a Christian? Have you considered wearing a cross tattoo? Many folks choose to express their faith by wearing a cross or crucifix design, but you don't have to be Christian to appreciate the beauty of the cross symbol, which can enhance both male and female bodies of all shapes and sizes.

There are many styles of crosses that are commonly used in tattoo designs. Many, but not all, are Christian in origin. Some of the most popular styles include Celtic, tribal, Coptic, Latin, Greek, Jerusalem, Maltese, the crucifix, and the rosary. Another popular style used for tattoos is the Iron Cross (which is not Christian, but rather a German military decoration, and is also associated with motorcycle gangs).

Cross tattoos are worn by both men and women, and can be placed almost anywhere on the body. For ladies, the back, neck or calf areas are good and popular places to ink a small/medium cross, and so is the ankle (perhaps in the form of a rosary). For men, the back, arms or chest are good places to put a more robust cross design.

Depending on their style and placement, cross tattoos may have different meanings. (The wearer of an Iron Cross design generally wants to project a very different sort of image from someone who wears a cross tattoo for Christian reasons.) In most cases, though, you'll find that people who wear a cross on their skin are strong believers and true to their word.
